The app is silent

Check the sound switch in Settings, behind the three-second press on the gear. The app is built to play even when the phone is on silent, so if it is quiet, that switch is the first thing to look at.

A language sounds wrong

English and Mandarin are spoken from recordings built into the app. Bahasa Melayu is spoken by iOS, using whichever Malay voice your device has, so it can sound thinner than the other two. Settings tells you how to download a better one, and recording the words yourself always sounds best. You can also choose between four English voices in Settings.

I cannot find Settings

Press and hold the gear at the bottom of the screen for a full three seconds. A quick tap does nothing on purpose, so a child cannot reach it.

The app stopped for the day

That is the daily limit doing its job. Hold the hourglass on that screen for three seconds to carry on, or change the limit in Settings.

Managing or cancelling a subscription

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. Open Settings on your device, tap your name, then Subscriptions. "Manage subscription" in the app's own settings opens the same place. Cancelling leaves your recordings, your own sentences and your weekly count untouched.

Restoring a purchase on a new device

Settings, then "Restore purchases". Recordings are stored only on the device that made them, so they do not transfer.
